Ferrets require ample amounts of water and food available to them throughout the day Ferrets are expensive, and require a minimum of $1000 emergency funds always available. Ferrets love rubber and foam materials, but these materials can cause an intestinal blockage and should not be given ever. Ferrets require bathing. Ferrets need to have their teeth brushed. Ferrets do not require vaccines. Ferrets are caged animals. Ferrets cannot get Aleutian Disease Virus. Ferrets need a litter that is non-clumping. Free roaming when unsupervised is safe. Chicken breast can be fed as a complete meal every day. Fruits are OK to feed ferrets. Salmon oil or other small fish oils are safe for ferrets as a treat.
